Ryan M. Geringer, D.O.

 

Originally from Des Moines, Iowa, Ryan M. Geringer, DO, graduated with distinction from Iowa State University in 1999. He received his medical education and training at Des Moines University, College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he graduated in 2003.

Dr. Geringer completed his internship and residency in orthopaedic surgery through Michigan State University at Mount Clemens Regional Medical Center in Mount Clemens, MI. During his residency, Dr. Geringer’s rotations included hand surgery, orthopaedic oncology, sports medicine, orthopaedic trauma, pediatric orthopaedics, and foot and ankle surgery. Dr. Geringer completed his specialty fellowship in sports medicine at the Hughston Clinic in Columbus, GA, where he served on the medical staffs of the Valdosta State University football team and the Columbus Cottonmouth hockey team.

Dr. Geringer is board eligible by the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Arthroscopy Association of North America, and candidate member of the American Othopaedic Society for Sports Medicine.

Dr. Geringer enjoys spending time with his wife, Casey, and two children; daughter Gabrielle and son Grant. His leisure time is filled with activities such as golf, fishing, wakeboarding, skiing, rollerblading, mountain biking, and running.
