Dr Burleson performed surgery on my back six weeks ago. The surgery has been a success and my pain has been relieved. I met with Dr. Burleson and PA Ashley Scott today for the first time after having been receiving pain management for the past three months. Since I was still experiencing pain, I saw Dr. Burleson for his expertise. He immediately made me feel as though I was his only patient and explained what was causing my pain, including an understandable explanation of my MRI and using a model of the spine during his explanation. My experience with Dr. Burleson at Hughston Clinic was nothing short of fantastic! While we all hope to not need a trip to the doctor, it makes a massive difference when you can go to a top tier clinic when you’re in need. From the moment I arrived, my overall wellbeing was made a number one priority. My visit started with a simple check-in and a very short wait before I was taken directly in for X Rays. In a matter of minutes, Dr. Burleson was in to discuss the results and go over plans for next steps. He was attentive, explained everything so that it was easy for me to understand and answered all the questions I had. I felt heard, appreciated and supported from start to finish. I knew from the moment I walked in the door that I was going to receive excellent care. In the end, I needed to go for an MRI and was able to get in SAME DAY! I’ve been playing sports and exercising since I could walk, so I am no stranger to soft tissue injuries. The problem with these types of injuries is that once the imaging shows that surgery is not required, surgeons throw their hands up and wish you good luck. This was not the case with Dr. Burleson. After several years of living with unreal discomfort, numbness and a lot of sleepless nights, Dr. Burleson performed cervical spine (ACDF) surgery. The results have been dramatically positive. In my 63 years of life, I have dealt with many doctors. I really like this guy. Very thorough, professional and patient to take time to educate me pre-op and post-op. Honestly, I was quite nervous because of the nature of the procedure and dealing with my neck, spinal nerves and such. But, am very thankful I found Dr. Burleson. My outcome has been great! If you are looking for an orthopedic clinic/surgeon, look no further!! From initial phone call to visit, the experience was awesome, as I Felt welcomed and valued . Appointment and paperwork were both handled very promptly. There was relatively no wait time between check in and visit time. the office atmosphere was relaxed, which put me at ease, as I already was in pain. All staff were courteous and acknowledged me down the hall. X-rays were done in house, which was convenient and nice to have same days answers versus being referred out! I liked Dr Burleson. He took the time and showed me my MRI and explained what was going one with my neck. Seems like a good doctor to me and I don't like many of them! Part 2. Well three months after spinal fusion surgery I am happy to say it's been a success! I really liked that I could communicate with my Dr on Instagram messenger in real time. This was so helpful when I was in the middle of recovering and was having a few issues. Dr Burleson was always quick to get back to me and make me feel better. I had a lower lumbar spine fusion in 2007. The Dr. just wanted to give pain meds and jump right in to surgery. Dr. Burleson is the direct opposite. He wants to see if physical therapy will help to alleviate the pain the L3 disk and L3 vertebrae shifting. He is extremely relatable, knowledgeable, and has the ability to convey his medical thoughts or recommendations in a way everyone can understand. First time seeing Dr.Burleson, today. Staff where all wonderful. He has excellent bedside manner and explains everything very throughly. He’s not surgery happy and I also love that. Dr. Burleson has the best bed side manner. My first visit has been great thru now, he has been easy to talk to, he answered all my questions throughly. He took time with me everytime. It took me 3 months to find a doctor after I fell and injured my spine. Several other doctors didn't know what to do for me. The first visit Dr. Burleson ordered an M.R.I. As soon as he looked at it he knew what needed to be done. It has been 2 months since my spine surgery, I am doing great. If you need a spine surgeon, Dr. Burleson is no. 1 in my book. I recently had surgery on my cervical discs. This has been an amazing experience and easily the easiest surgical procedure with fastest recovery I have ever encountered! At 74 I was prepared for a lengthy recovery. But I have not had any serious or long term pain and my neck is great! I hadn’t been to Hughston Ortho, StoneCrest in three years as my usual ortho started his own practice. But my shoulder/knee ortho was still at this office. However that doc wasn’t avail and the first appt I could get was with Dr. Burleson. I was very pleased at his attitude and overall demeanor. He was kind and attentive and to the issue at hand which in this case was several discomfort in my shoulder. He provided a shot and put up patiently with my incessant talking as I am a huge nerd. Great guy and great ortho. He is a credit to Houghston ortho at StoneCrest.

I cannot say enough good things about this doctor. Other doctors obviously didn't have the knowledge and skill because they said it couldn't be fixed. My spinal cord was being compressed, it was affecting my legs and everything else. This doctor went in, 2 years ago, and put me back together. I walked the same day. Still walking still running. I wouldn't trust anybody else with my spine. Getting ready to do a second surgery on my neck. If you want somebody with a good track record I wouldn't go to anybody else and I would never recommend anybody else.
