About James Peters
James D Peters DO, graduated from the University of Missouri in Columbia, MO, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in microbiology. His Doctor of Osteopathy degree was earned at the University of Health Sciences in Kansas City, MO. Dr. Peters completed his internship and orthopaedic residency at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Aurora, CO.
Upon completion of his education and training, Dr. Peters served on active duty with the US Army as an orthopaedic surgeon. He completed overseas tours in both Korea and in Iraq during his military career and he finished his military service at Ft. Benning, GA. Having satisfied his military obligations, Dr. Peters moved to and has practiced orthopaedic surgery in Dublin, GA since July of 1993.
A board certified orthopaedic surgeon, Dr. Peters is a Diplomat of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and he is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. His clinical interests include general orthopaedics, hand and wrist surgery, hip fractures, as well as other traumatic fractures of both the upper and lower extremities.
