Hughston Clinic Orthopaedics is proud to celebrate the Cumberland University Master of Science in Athletic Training (MSAT) program graduates. The inaugural awards ceremony featured a new award called The Nathan Johnson Award for Professional Engagement, named after Nathan Johnson, Director of Athletic Training with Hughston Clinic Orthopaedics.

The award was given to graduate Nicole Bott, for showing dedication to the athletic training profession, personal, professional, and academic growth, and for encountering challenging situations with resiliency.
Hughston Clinic Orthopaedics’ physician, Dr. Shawn Mountain, serves as the Medical Director for the Cumberland University MSAT program and the four Athletic Trainers with Hughston Clinic Orthopaedics are clinical preceptors for the program. Dr. Jack Hughston was an advocate for Athletic Training and was an honorary member of the National Athletic Trainers Association.
