
Orthopaedic, sports medicine, and primary care physicians gathered with physical therapists in Columbus for the 2026 Hughston Society Biennial Meeting at the Hughston Foundation on April 16-18, 2026. The program committee prepared an outstanding scientific program and enjoyable social events for attendees and their families. Here are some highlights from the meeting: The Presidential Guest Speaker was Bill Mallon, MD, Executive Editor of the JSES Family of Journals from Biltmore Lake, NC; Hughston Legacy Speaker was Constance Chu, MD, Professor and Vice Chair of Research in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Stanford University and Director of the Joint Preservation Center at the VA Palo Alto, Palo Alto, CA; The Hunter Memorial Lecture was presented by Brian Davis, MD, CPT, FABPMR, FACSM, who is a clinical professor in the Department of PM&R, at the University of California, Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, CA; and The Baker Memorial Lecture was presented by Dean Taylor, MD, Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Duke University in Durham, NC. The program offered approximately 13.5 AMA Category I CME credits to attendees and speakers.
